A small but mighty group of 12 trailers and 22 folks attended this Four Corners Unit Airstream Rally at the McDowell Mountain Regional Park, February 26th through March 1st, 2026.

The group campground featured a large, shaded pavilion, large BBQs, a campfire area and spectacular views of the Sonoran desert.

This “lightly scheduled” rally gave everyone plenty of free time to explore the hiking and biking trails offered in the park.

There was also time to explore Fountain Hills, and on Friday a group of us met for lunch with a view of the 330 foot tall namesake water fountain.

Each evening featured a happy hour with shared goodies, as well as a group BBQ on Friday  and a structured potluck on Saturday. Our days were capped off with a campfire, with a bit of music thrown in for good measure.

Rally Look-Ahead

We have a booked the Priest Gulch Campground and RV Park Cabins and Lodge for another incredible Airstream Club rally for the 13-16 August! Now, before I tell you how exciting this location is, I need to tell you that we need a member to step up to host this rally by 1 April or we’ll have to cancel our booking! Now, check this out:

Located along the Dolores River in the San Juan National Forest, the campground offers immediate access to hiking on Priest Gulch Trail #645, with options ranging from easy forest walks to more challenging backcountry loops. The river provides excellent trout fishing, and the surrounding forest roads are perfect for mountain biking and scenic drives.

Nearby, we can enjoy boating and paddling at McPhee Reservoir, explore the cliff dwellings at Mesa Verde National Park, or take a spectacular mountain drive to Telluride.

With riverfront sites, cool mountain air, and endless options for group hikes, fishing meetups, scenic drives, and evening campfires, Priest Gulch has all the ingredients for an unforgettable rally!

Interested in bringing this weekend to life? Step up and volunteer to host — we’ll support you every step of the way.

Give it a thought and let our rally committee know that you’re interested in hosting this rally!

There are also still some stops that need hosts on the Route 66 Caravan in September! Let us know if you can help out!

However easy you think rally hosting might be, it’s way easier than that! And we’ve a fabulous rally committee here to help YOU!

Each rally has a committee member assigned to assist the hosts. We have easy spreadsheets to prompt you to consider various expenses and activities, build out your budget, and calculate the rally fees. Hosts and co-hosts also receive subsidized rally fees and 4CU swag!

Silver On The River Caravan

by: Jason Grendahl

About two years ago, several people, myself included, were sitting around a campfire at a rally when someone started talking about how they enjoy cruising. Then a few more people chimed in with the same sentiment. Amazingly, we found that we were booked on the same cruise as someone else and our cabins were only 10 doors apart. We had a blast on the cruise together. So I thought…we all enjoy going to rallies and traveling with our Airstreams…why not all go on a cruise together? It would be a rally on a cruise ship!

About the same time, Airstream Club International (ACI) sent out an interest survey for members interested in a cruise. So I conferred with ACI and they suggested that we make it a National Event Rally and that I host it. Last summer, we had the Silver on the Seas cruise to Alaska. It was the trial run for making a cruising National Event Rally, NER, a regularly occurring event. It was a great success. About 100 Airstreamers went on a Celebrity cruise ship from Seattle to Alaska.

So this summer, July 15-22, we’re doing it again but on a river cruise in France. The whole boat is chartered to ACI so we won’t disrupt others on board with our happy hours and virtual campfire gatherings. Even our travel agent, who runs a travel agency dedicated to luxury cruising, is an ACI member. Because of that, we are on Riverside, a premier European cruise line. Specifically, we will be on the line’s Ravel ship and we’ll be cruising the Rhone river in southeastern France. This renowned historical region features wine and culinary events both on board and at every stop. Every room on the ship is a suite with a veranda. The cruise is all-inclusive, so whatever food, restaurants on board, drinks, and even excursions are included. And as a bonus, if family or friends have this on their bucket list, they are welcome too at the same rate as ACI folks.

Since getting to France is a pretty long haul, there are optional pre- and post-cruise touring options for the group, too. Before the cruise, a trip to Normandy is planned which includes bus transport, hotel, and a private guided tour of the memorial site. If cruising is REALLY your thing, it’s also possible to get on the same cruise ship for a 4-day cruise through the Burgundy region of France on the Saone river; and the best part: you can get the same room as for Silver on the River so you don’t even need to move your stuff when everyone else gets on board. After the cruise, there is a group option to take a high-speed train to Paris where we’ll have a group hotel.

We’re also already in the early planning stages for 2027’s NER cruise. Keep your eyes on the Blue Beret, your email inbox, and social media for that announcement. It’s going to be a super bucket list trip!
