Tucson Unplugged 2024 Rally Review

Yet another fantastic “Unplugged” In Tucson!

Last weekend found us at Catalina State Park in Tucson for our annual Unplugged rally. The weather in Tucson was gorgeous, but we did have a few rigs cancel due to being snowed in at home in New Mexico and Colorado. We wound up with 22 rigs in attendance.

This year’s morning fare comprised of Breakfast Burritos from Rancheros Carniceria and Egg Bites and Pastries from Beyond Bread. Even though we were “unplugged” we were able to brew up fresh coffee for everyone each morning. Nothing quite says “Rally” like a morning gathering around the coffee pot with friends, amiright?

A group of us went on a bike ride to explore a small section of over 137 miles of the paved “Tucson Loop” trail which connects to the park. This Loop Trail is a cycling gem and often ranked near or at the top of lists of the best bike paths in the US. Other activities included geocaching, hiking, and just hanging out.

Members got together both days in charity sewing group led by Sophia Rodgers to create over 200 micro-pillows that will be donated to the University of New Mexico NICU.

Saturday afternoon we had a Q & A session where we dove deep into a wide range of topics ranging from technical discussions on maximizing your battery runtime to everyone sharing their favorite camping destinations. Kettle Korn Bros stopped by to provide snacks.

Friday and Saturday evenings, we loaded up the super-BBQs with lump and had BYOM BBQ together!

It was a great rally and we look forward to hosting you again next year.

[This just in! Our Rally committee has reserved group site for next year to make sure we can continue the tradition! ]

Mark your calendars for 13-16 November 2025.
