Rally Registration Is Open

When: 28 December 2024 – 1 Jan 2025

Where: Picacho Peak State Park, Arizona – Quail Group Site

Hosts: Sergio Quiros and Louis Hall

Join us for the annual New Year’s Rally in Sunny Southern Arizona and enjoy the beautiful Sonoran Desert setting with warm days and cool nights by the group campfire.

We have reserved the Quail Group Area at Picacho Peak State Park in Picacho Arizona. The State Park has hiking trails, Geocaching, and rock-climbing areas. The park is situated about 30 minutes north of Tucson and approximately 1-hour South of the Phoenix Area. (see nearby attractions)

We will be in the Quail Group area, and this will be dry camping. Quiet Generators are permitted from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The group area has portable toilets and fresh water available. Additionally, the ramadas where we have our potlucks and other activities have electrical power.

There are showers and restrooms nearby as well as dump station within the park.

IMPORTANT: The park continues to experience a water shortage and no filling of fresh water tanks is allowed at the park, so please arrive with a full tank of water.

Agenda: We are still putting together the Rally Agenda, but it will likely be very fluid. Be prepared for a couple of potlucks and happy hours, rousing Left-Right-Centre tournaments, White Elephant gift battle, and more!

You may want to bring warm outerwear, firewood, and recreational items such as bicycles, corn hole and other outdoor games.

We ask each rig to bring some firewood and Champagne if you would like to have that for the NYE Bon Fire.

Fees

This is where things are a little more complicated this year.

Rally Fee: $15/rig, non-refundable.

Camping Fee: $60/rig for the first 15 Group Site Registrations, this is non-refundable.

The Park required pre-payment of 15 Group Site campers when the group site was reserved. Thus, the first 15 rigs to register for the Group Site will be required to pre-pay a $60 camping fee as part of the rally registration process.

Once the pre-pay obligation has been met, remaining rally attendees will pay their camping fees of $15/night at the Ranger Station upon arrival.

Attendees staying in electric sites are responsible for their own camping arrangements via the State park reservations system.

Complicated, yes, but there it is.
