Summary of Events at Rally: This rally was one of a few 4CU Rally’s outside of the 4CU boundaries but that did not deter 25 rigs from traveling to Paso Robles, CA to enjoy the beauty of what is known as the Central Coast of California. Paso Robles began as a natural hot springs destination, eventually grew into an agricultural economy, and during the 20th century began to evolve into one of the top wine tourism destinations in the country, if not the world. The area offers amazing rolling hill scenery, historic Hearst Castle, easy access to the Pacific Coastline and the small coastal towns along scenic Highway 1 aka The Pacific Coast Highway.
Our rally took place at the luxurious Sun Outdoors Paso Robles RV Resort. Each site included full hookups along with a large concrete patio, picnic table and wood burning fire pit. The resort also offered our group access to any of the heated swimming pools, hot tubs, the onsite restaurant and bar, exercise room and covered entertainment ramada that was finely equipped with gas fire pits and gas grills for our use and enjoyment.
A special thank you, goes to Cathy and Randy Furman. They brought a container of Bedstemor’s Raspberry Jam to each trailer in attendance.
Our group enjoyed happy hours each evening with a plethora of fabulous appetizers that were provided by each attendee to share at the central ramada around the gas fire pit.
Friday morning started with fantastic fresh coffee made by 4CU’s own Barista Janet Hauck coupled with a wide variety of pastries from Cider Creek Bakery a local Paso Robles bakery, they were delicious. Attendees explored Paso Robles area including the historic downtown area, local wineries and distilleries and just experiencing the beautiful Central Coast of California.
A group of 17 had pre-registered for an e-bike ride and tour of the surrounding countryside. The ride, which clocked in at 32 miles, was an amazing chance to see the countryside along with three planned stops. The stops included the 1879 Estrella Adobe Church, the 1797 Mission San Miguel Archangel and the last stop was a quaint jam shop Hartley Farms (also a Harvest Host site) for some local jams of varying flavors and a well-deserved respite before the final ride back to our campers. Friday evening was casual with no formal gatherings planned so attendees could experience Paso Robles at night with several of our members experiencing the immersive walk-through public art piece “Sensorio” by Artist Bruce Monroe that was mind bending in its scale and color, or just hanging out around the fire pit or enjoying the hot tub.
Saturday morning started again with fantastic fresh coffee made by 4CU’s own Barista Janet Hauck coupled with fresh and hot breakfast burritos provided by local chefs at Joe’s One Niner Diner, they were delicious. Everyone enjoyed some free time to explore the area. Our group activity on Saturday was a private wine tasting for those that had expressed interest which was held on site. The wine tasting was provided by local Paso Robles Hearst Ranch Winery who provided multiple wines to taste along with bottles and merchandise for sale.
The wine tasting was late afternoon that was immediately followed by a cookout extravaganza at our ramada where attendees grilled their own proteins and brought a separate dish to share with each other. The food variety, quantity and quality were unbelievable with no one leaving hungry. The evening was capped off by cocktails and music around the fire pit.
Over the years, the 4CU has shown support for several local Albuquerque charities through its’ sewing projects at rallies. Below are some 2023 statics.
Here is a little bit more about each of the charities serve the community:
Special recognition to Dan and Kathy Fahey for their donation of $50 for the purchase of material, and to Lynn Eubank for donating a Kenmore sewing machine and the repairs, so that it can be used for charity sewing.

The 2025 Region 11 Rally will be held at Sun Outdoors Rocky Mountains RV Park in Granby, CO, on July 23-27, 2025.
150 sites have been reserved. As you look ahead to your 2025 trips, plan around these dates for your activities if this is of interest to you. There should be a very good turnout at this beautiful park at that time of year in Colorado.
ACI has announced that it has partnered with Harvest Hosts to revamp the courtesy parking program to make it easier for members to identify and communicate with courtesy parking hosts. More info…
