The Nominees

The Office of PresidentBarbara Englemann — to be elected for a 1-year term, has Board voting power, and may serve no longer than 2 consecutive terms.

  • Barbara and her husband Jeff are currently serving on the 4CU rally support committee. Barbara is a retired parish administrator along with being a professional driver and cook, for her and her husband’s two children as they were growing up. Barbara has a tremendous amount of volunteer experience that has ranged from president of several PTA committees, high school swim team president, high school crew team president, and multiple church related committee leadership roles. Most recently, she was president of my local P.E.O. Chapter. She and her husband have been 4CU members for over 10 years. They were introduced to the club by Terry Rich and Greg Schmuker at the St Patrick’s Day Rally at McDowell Mountain Regional Park. She and her husband Jeff currently have a 28’ International Serenity that they enjoy traveling in. Her hobbies include reading, hiking, spending time with family and friends and planning road trips for their next Airstream adventures.

The Office of 1st VP – Ken Johansen — elected for a 1-year term, has Board voting power, and may serve no longer than 2 consecutive terms.

  • Ken has been involved with the WBCCI since 1998.He is the founder of the Four Corners Unit back in 2006 as well as founder of Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta National Rally and Vintage Restoration Academy. His service to the Airstream club also includes past vice president of Colorado West Unit, initial president of the Four Corners Unit, regional VP and President of Region 11. Ken has also held additional board positions with organizations such as the Boy Scouts, New Mexico Health Resources, New Mexico Route 66 Association, and many others. Professionally, he has been a CPA since 1980, CFO of the hospital in Durango as well as Presbyterian Health for all out of Albuquerque hospitals. As an expert consultant to a national CPA firm, he continues to work part time as a CPA in his own firm.

The Office of 2nd VP -Bruce Stevenson — elected for a 1-year term, has Board voting power, and may serve no longer than 2 consecutive terms.

  • Bruce became a member of the 4CU soon after he and his wife Cathy purchased their first Airstream in 2015. They have traveled extensively in their AS since, visiting 36 states including the “Mothership” in Ohio and two Canadian provinces. He is a “hands on” owner having completed cabinet modifications to their first AS but succumbed to the allure a 2023 model with a purchase at the recent International Rally in Wyoming. Bruce has always been a fan of the diversity and spirit of the 4CU membership and will work to keep our unit one that everyone wants to be a part of.

The Office of Treasurer – Richard Girard— elected for a 1-year term, has Board voting power. Though this position has no limit to consecutive terms the office must be confirmed via election each year.

  • Richard has agreed to continue his responsibilities as unit Treasurer

The Office of Secretary – Jeffrey Engelmann — elected for a 1-year term, has Board voting power, and has no limit to consecutive terms.

  • Jeff and his wife Barbara are currently serving on the 4CU rally support committee. Jeff is a retired Landscape Architect. Jeff co-founded J2 Design as a multidisciplinary civil engineering and landscape architecture office in Phoenix Arizona in 2002. He helped to start and establish the firm and was able to grow it to over 40 employees with a select focus on public sector and federal government work. He and his wife Barbara have been 4CU members for over 10 years when they were introduced to the club by Terry Rich and Greg Schmuker at the St Patrick’s Day Rally at McDowell Mountain Regional Park. He and his wife Barbara currently have a 28’ International Serenity that they enjoy traveling in. His hobbies include reading, hiking, golfing, refining his barrel aged manhattan recipe, spending time with family and friends and assisting with ideas about travel in the Airstream.

The Office of Trustee – Lee Gatten— elected for a 2-year staggered term. Trustees serve for no more than one 2-year term consecutively. The continuing Trustees are Sophia Rodgers and Janet Hauck and do not appear on the ballot.

  • When Tammy and Lee purchased their Airstream, they decided to join 4CU and see what it was all about. When people ask them if they like their Airstream they probably say a lot of the same things others say with a big BUT: They never anticipated the great people they would meet, the friends they would make, and the experiences they would have with 4CU. It’s the best part of owning an Airstream! Having been members for about a year now, Lee is happy to give back to the club and help however he is able.

The Office of Immediate Past President — is a non-elected position and therefore does not appear on the Ballot. The IPP has Board voting power and remains in service for the duration of his/her successor. Bonnie Bobman will become the Immediate Past President upon confirmation of the new board.

Committee Chairs are appointed, non-voting, positions therefore they do not appear on the Ballot.
