Head to southwest New Mexico for our fourth annual Chile Run. Silver City is the gateway to the Gila Wilderness, our nation's largest wilderness.

Plan on joining us Thursday Sept 30 to Sunday October 3. We have some activities planned for those interested. Just let us know if you are interested on the attached registration form. Deadline for your registration is Aug 31. This is a WBCCI rally. If you are not a member of WBCCI, but own an Airstream, and would like to attend as a Guest, please contact the hosts.

If you would like to come earlier or stay longer you are welcome to do that, just let the folks at Rose Valley know your plans. If some of you are here early and would like to, we can put together a dinner or meet at a restaurant.

Agenda

Thursday night 5:30 Welcome Happy Hour at the Group Area. Bring your beverage and a snack. We will also have the margarita machine going.

Friday morning Tom will lead any interested campers on an easy hike. During the afternoon, spend some time exploring Silver City's fun downtown. Visit some of the galleries and have a drink at Little Toad Creek Brewery and Distillery

There is also a wonderful museum downtown. For those of you with interest in military history, take a short drive to Fort Bayard and visit this historic fort and the national cemetery there.

Friday night Happy Hour at the Group Area at 5:00. Bring your beverage and a snack. For those who want to join us we’ll be heading 7 miles north for dinner in Pinos Altos at the Buckhorn Saloon and Opera House. The Buckhorn is quite something to see. What you eat and drink is on you but we can all sit together in one of the dining rooms with rich history and amazing artifacts on the walls. Pinos Altos was a thriving metropolis in the mid 1800’s, now a small community with a fun outlaw past.

Saturday morning at 9:00 we will enjoy another hike on the nearby Dragonfly trail. Take time to grab fresh roasted green chile to take home with you.

Saturday Night Happy Hour at 5:30 is at the Old Courthouse in Pinos Altos. Come and see the progress we are making in our restoration of this 175 year old building. We can share a potluck dinner with some more margaritas.

Another quick hike on Sunday, before you leave.

Each morning there will be coffee with muffins and fruit in the group area. Early Bird Tom Kirk will have that going by 7:00. Monday is “Happy Trails Day,” but stop and have coffee and say Adios!
