Revised Rally Fees and Itinerary<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Based on comments we’ve received along with some last minute itinerary changes we are happy to announce a reduction of the Rally Fee to $300 Per Person, which covers not only such things and coffee and pastries but also various docent donations for some of our presentations, an on-site BBQ dinner in Gallop, along with some Route 66 SWAG for attendees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the caravan, if there are any leftover rally fee funds, they will be apportioned and refunded to the attendees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are also reducing the number of slots to 15, with 10 still available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This would bring the cost for the rally to $547 per rig camping fee (plus the Enchanted Trails reservation), plus $300 per person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are planning on attending and would like to dig your feet into the world of rally hosting we still have openings for hosts in Gallup and Winslow. Most of the heavy lifting is done as far as scheduling and reservations goes. Let us know if you might be interested in helping out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Journey<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The caravan will make five stops along Historic Route 66, featuring group meals and curated activities at every turn. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will be in Tucumcari for the Fired Up Festival<\/a>, which will include live music, a car show, local vendors, food trucks, and fireworks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other highlights currently being planned include the flexibility to tour the many museums in Albuquerque<\/strong> (Albuquerque Museum<\/a>, The Pueblo Cultural Center<\/a>, or the Nuclear Energy Museum<\/a>), a BBQ dinner<\/strong> in Gallup<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Winslow, AZ we have arranged a guided group tour of the historic La Posada Harvey House<\/strong>, covering the history of La Posada, Route 66, and Winslow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you haven’t been there yet it is a wonderfully restored historic hotel on the rail line, which also houses the Affelt Mion Musuem<\/a>. Inside the museum, you\u2019ll find La Posada, Fred Harvey, and Mary Colter history, as well their key exhibit, Diyog\u00ed Tsoh: The Big Rug<\/em>, the largest known traditionally made Navajo Rug, created for Winslow\u2019s Hubbell Trading post in the 1930s and returned to Winslow thanks to Allan Affeldt and Tina Mion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
